ALMÄ Studio combines scientific rigour with sensory design to ensure each space actively supports the human body and mind.

We engineer environments to maximise performance, wellness and energy regeneration — through neuroscience, biophilic design and sensory precision.

Sleep is not passive — it is your brain's most strategic performance reset. We engineer bedrooms that naturally induce deep, restorative sleep through light temperature, proportion and material calibration.

The outside world is dense — constant stimulation, subtle tension, invisible pressure. Through spatial harmony, material grounding and energetic balance, your home becomes a protective shield for your nervous system.

Most homes are neutral at best — draining at worst. Every environment we create is intentionally designed to regenerate your energy, sharpen cognitive clarity and elevate daily performance.

Proportion, visual rhythm, material balance and sensory density are intentionally structured to support strategic thinking. Every space influences cognitive performance — we make sure yours works in your favour.
We integrate five disciplines to engineer environments with measurable, lasting impact on the nervous system and daily well-being.
How spatial design affects the nervous system, mood regulation and cognitive performance.
Structural integration of living elements, organic patterns, dynamic light and natural materials.
Using colour and plant intelligence to influence mood, physiology and the energetic quality of space.
Scent architecture for focus, relaxation, memory and deep sensory alignment.
Structuring environments with measurable vibrational and acoustic balance to promote sustained well-being.
Each environment below was designed to generate a specific neurological state. Select one and feel the difference in your own nervous system.
Select a state below and feel the difference in your own nervous system.

Sleep is the brain's most strategic performance reset. Engineered light temperature, circadian materials and spatial proportion work together to lower cortisol, slow heart rate and guide the nervous system into deep restoration.

Proportion, visual rhythm and controlled sensory density are structured to minimise distraction and support sustained strategic thinking. When the space is aligned, focus becomes effortless.

The outside world is dense — constant stimulation, invisible pressure. Through spatial harmony, organic material grounding and frequency calibration, the environment actively decompresses the nervous system.

Cognitive clarity is not just a mental state — it is a spatial one. Light quality, material temperature and sensory balance are calibrated to reduce cognitive load and sharpen decision-making capacity.

Vital energy is the result of a space that works in sync with the body's natural rhythms. Biophilic elements, frequency-calibrated materials and dynamic light engineering create environments that generate vitality.
The science
behind the spaces
ALMÄ projects are not defined by budget, style, or size. They are defined by one thing: the desire for a space that genuinely works for the person living or working in it. If any of these sound familiar, you're in the right place.
CEOs, executives, high-performers who invest in nutrition, training and therapy — but wake up exhausted. The bedroom is the last unoptimised variable. ALMÄ fixes that.
Residential · BedroomEntrepreneurs, creatives and remote professionals who struggle to reach deep work at home. The space looks right but doesn't feel right — and productivity suffers for it.
Residential · Home officeWhen the home doesn't decompress you, every day becomes harder than the last. ALMÄ engineers the living environment to become a genuine refuge — one that actively restores instead of silently draining.
Residential · Full homeHigh-end clinics, studios, showrooms and offices where the environment is part of the product. When clients walk in, the space should instantly communicate quality, calm and authority — before a word is spoken.
Commercial · Any sectorArchitects and interior designers who want to integrate ALMÄ's sensory layer into their existing projects. A seamless partnership that elevates your offering — without changing your process.
Partnership · Architects & DesignersYou worked with talented professionals. The result is visually stunning. But day-to-day, the space doesn't feel the way you imagined. ALMÄ is the final layer that translates beauty into genuine well-being.
Add-on · Any spaceBoth are renders of the same space. One is a standard visualisation. The other is a neurologically calibrated environment — designed to generate a specific physiological state.
Aesthetically competent. Visually presentable. Designed to look good — with no consideration for how the space will regulate the nervous system, support sleep, or sustain cognitive performance.
Photorealistic precision, yes — but more importantly, every material, light temperature, proportion and sensory element has been calibrated to a specific neurological outcome. The result looks beautiful and makes you feel different.

Every image has a reason.
The case studies reveal the thinking behind the aesthetics — the science, the decisions, and the measurable difference.
Yasmin Cavion · ALMÄ StudioHello. I'm Yasmin, and ALMÄ Studio was born from an inquiry that has stayed with me for more than 10 years working with spaces: why do so many visually impeccable environments still leave people feeling drained, anxious or disconnected?
I built two studios in California — one focused on interior design, another on landscaping. Both successful. Both beautiful. And yet, something was consistently missing: spaces that looked right but didn't feel right. That gap became an obsession.
My training in Interior Design gave me the technical tools. But it was specialising in neuroscience, aromatherapy, phytoenergy and holistic therapies that allowed me to understand what truly happens in the human body inside a space — and how to design environments that work for people, not against them.
I made the decision to commit fully to this vision, moved to Barcelona, and founded ALMÄ Studio — the meeting point between design precision and the wisdom of the body. Every project starts from a simple but profound question: how will this space make you feel?
Your architect creates structure. Your interior designer creates beauty. ALMÄ Studio adds the layer neither was trained to deliver: the science of how a space makes you feel. Three ways to work together — choose yours.
Already working with a designer or architect you trust? Perfect. ALMÄ integrates seamlessly into existing projects — or leads new ones from scratch. The goal is always the same: a space that works for you, not just one that looks good.
Every ALMÄ project is followed up at 30 and 90 days. These are real outcomes reported by clients — not estimates, not marketing copy.
“I used to dread mornings. Now I wake up before my alarm and actually want to start the day.”
Executive · São Paulo“I had a great architect. Yasmin added the layer he wasn't trained to — she made the space work with my biology.”
Entrepreneur · Rio de Janeiro“The space does half the work before I even speak. Patients arrive anxious and within minutes the environment has already begun the session.”
Psychologist · São PauloI never imagined a space could change how I sleep. Within three weeks of moving into the redesigned bedroom, I was falling asleep faster, waking up less, and — for the first time in years — feeling genuinely rested. My productivity in the mornings completely transformed.
I had already worked with a well-known architect. The space was beautiful. But Yasmin added something the architecture couldn't — she made it feel like mine. Like it was calibrated to how my brain works. I didn't know that was possible.
Every client who walks into our clinic comments on the environment — how calm it feels, how professional it looks, how it immediately puts them at ease. Yasmin understood that for our patients, the space needed to do therapeutic work before we even started.

ALMÄ Studio accepts a limited number of projects per cycle. Each inquiry is carefully assessed before any collaboration is confirmed — we only move forward when the fit is right for both sides.
Once submitted, your project will be assessed for alignment with ALMÄ Studio's sensory design standards. If selected, you will receive a personalised invitation to collaborate.
Thank you. Your project is now under review. If it aligns with our methodology and current availability, you will receive a personal invitation within 5–7 business days.
Important: Every image on this website is a photorealistic render. No project shown has been physically constructed. This is the level of precision ALMA delivers — before a single wall is touched.
Behind every material, every light temperature, every proportion — a precise neurological intention. Here you'll find the thinking, the methodology, and the measurable outcomes that define every ALMA project.
Most interior design asks one question: does it look good? ALMA asks a different one: how will this space make you feel? Because every space is already doing something to your nervous system. The only question is whether it's working for you — or against you.
You come home exhausted — and the house exhausts you even more. You look for reasons to leave.
You sleep 8 hours — and wake up depleted. The bedroom looks beautiful. It just doesn't restore you.
Your space looks right. But it doesn't feel right. And you don't know why.
Two renders of the same type of space. One is standard — beautiful, competent, aesthetically correct. The other is a neurologically calibrated environment. The difference is not just visual. It is physiological.

↔ Drag to compare
All ALMA visuals are photorealistic renders. No project has been physically constructed — this is the precision ALMA delivers before a single wall is touched.
Every project follows the same five-step process — diagnostic, precise and measurable from start to 90 days post-delivery. No guesswork. No intuition. Just science applied with intention.
How you live, sleep, work and recover — mapped before any aesthetic decision.
Spatial, lighting, acoustic and energetic analysis. We study what your current environment does to your body.
Five integrated disciplines into a precise neurological blueprint.
Photorealistic renders of extreme precision. You approve everything before a single wall is touched.
A complete sensory guide so the space keeps working for you over time.
ALMA is not a design service with a wellness layer. It is a neurological engineering practice that produces spaces of exceptional beauty. The difference is felt — in your sleep, your focus, your stress, your energy.
Extreme photorealistic renders before any construction. You approve every detail before a single euro is spent on execution.
30 and 90-day follow-up on every project. If we can't measure it, we haven't delivered it.
Not five things applied on top of each other. Five disciplines composing one precise neurological outcome tailored to each project.
"I kept making excuses to go to other people's houses. My house was beautiful. I just never wanted to be in it."
Roberta R. · Sao Jose dos Campos, SPRoberta R. had done everything right. She had invested in her home. Hired good professionals. Chose beautiful finishes. And yet — she dreaded coming home. She would arrive after work and immediately look for reasons to leave again. Dinner with friends, coffee at someone else's house, anything. Anywhere but here.
The desire to escape your own home is not a personality trait. It is a neurological signal. When a space consistently drains instead of restoring, the nervous system learns to associate it with depletion — and begins to actively avoid it.
Spatial proportions recalibrated. Entrance redesigned as a decompression threshold — you are safe here, you can let go.
Herbs and aromatic plants on the kitchen counter facing the entrance, with strategic moss details. A winter garden beneath the staircase — plants chosen for specific phytoenergetic and sensory properties. Raw stone countertops.
From cool whites toward warm earthy tones: deep terracotta, raw linen, aged gold — each chosen for parasympathetic activation.
Circadian protocol: bergamot + neroli in early evening; sandalwood + vetiver after 7pm.
4500K by day → 3000K early evening → 2200K by 8pm. No overhead lighting after 7pm.
Reverberation reduced from 0.9s to 0.35s through organic panels and natural textile layering.
Photorealistic renders. Not every project image is published, for ethical reasons.
Self-reported and verified outcomes at 30 and 90 days post-delivery.
“I stopped looking for excuses to leave. For the first time, I actually want to be in my own home. I didn't know a space could do that.”
"I used to walk in the door and immediately feel like I needed to walk back out. Nobody — including me — understood that the house itself was the problem. ALMA was the first time someone diagnosed the space instead of diagnosing me."
Roberta R. · Sao Jose dos Campos, SP · 90-day follow-up
"Jiu jitsu demands everything from the body and the mind. The space around the mat should demand nothing — and give everything back."
ALMA Studio · Gullo Jiu Jitsu, BarcelonaGullo Jiu Jitsu is a place where athletes push the limits of physical and mental performance. The brief to ALMA was precise: create a space that amplifies what happens on the mat, and actively accelerates recovery off it. This project is currently in design phase — not yet physically constructed.
Two distinct neurological states in one building: activation and focus in training zones — decompression and regeneration in recovery spaces.
Dual-zone spatial logic — clear transitions guiding athletes from performance mode to rest mode.
Living moss walls in recovery corridors. Natural timber throughout. Stone and mineral in the sauna.
Training: forest green + charcoal. Recovery: terracotta + linen. Sauna: deep amber.
Training: peppermint + rosemary. Recovery: eucalyptus + cedar. Communal: bergamot + sandalwood.
4500K training → 3000K recovery → 2000K sauna → 2700K communal dimmable.
Training: 0.4-0.5s clarity. Recovery: absorption to 0.25s — near-silence for nervous system reset.
Photorealistic renders. Not every project image is published, for ethical reasons.
As this project has not yet been constructed, outcomes are projections based on the ALMA methodology and peer-reviewed research. Measured at 30 and 90 days post-opening.
“Every detail calibrated for one purpose: make the athletes at Gullo perform at their highest — and recover faster than they thought possible.”
"The tatame is where Jiu Jitsu happens. But the athlete who recovers better trains better. We wanted every centimetre — on and off the mat — to be working for the athletes."
Gullo Jiu Jitsu · Barcelona, SpainRoberta's story and Gullo's brief are not unusual. The symptoms just don't look like a design problem — so nobody thinks to solve them that way.
Not because you're unsociable — but because something about being there generates a low-grade discomfort you can't name.
You've tried everything. Nothing fully works — because the problem isn't what's in the space. It's what the space is doing to your nervous system.
The environment your team works or trains in affects their performance daily. The question is whether it's working for them or against them.
Your bedroom looks beautiful. You sleep 8 hours. And wake up depleted. This is almost always an environment problem — not a sleep problem.
A subtle restlessness you can't place. The space looks right — it just doesn't support deep work. That's an acoustic and sensory design problem with a precise solution.
Every material is correct. The professionals did their job. But something is missing — the feeling that the space was made for how you live and need to feel.
If you recognised yourself in any of these — your space has a diagnosable problem. And diagnosable problems have precise solutions.
Everything you need to know before applying. If your question isn't here, ask us directly — we reply within 48 hours.
No — and we're proud to say so. Every image on the ALMA Studio website is a photorealistic render. No project has been physically constructed. You see exactly what you'll get, before committing to anything.
Not at all. ALMA works as your lead studio, as a complement to your existing designer, or as a partnership with architects who want to offer something no one else can.
Five steps: Diagnose, Study, Apply, Create, Program. You approve everything via photorealistic renders before any construction. Follow-up at 30 and 90 days.
Yes — ALMA works with clients globally. In-person visits available for clients in Barcelona and select cities.
Single room: 4–6 weeks. Full social area: 8–12 weeks. Commercial: scoped individually.
Not necessarily. Many ALMA interventions require no structural changes. We always design the minimum effective intervention.
30 and 90-day follow-up across six dimensions: sleep, stress, energy, cognitive performance, recovery and relationship with the space. The goal is a measurably better life inside it.
ALMA accepts a limited number of projects per cycle — based on alignment, not budget. If yes on both sides, we move forward. If not, we'll say so honestly.
Every environment influences your nervous system — whether you're aware of it or not. The question is not whether your space is affecting you. It is. The question is whether ALMA can make that effect measurably positive.
